Workshop  "ADVANCING BIOIMAGING SCIENCE IN LATIN AMERICA: FORGE GLOBAL NETWORKS FOR CAREER EXCELLENCE"

This networking meeting for Bioimaging Scientists in Latin America (LAT) will gather professionals at the forefront of imaging science in our region. It is organized as a satelite event from the 8° Congreso Argentino de Microscopía (SAMIC TUCUMAN 2024).

Imaging science stands at the nexus of innovation, where cutting-edge technologies converge with the pursuit of knowledge. The LAT region, with its rich tapestry of expertise, has become a vibrant hub for bioimaging research. Recognizing the dynamic landscape and the collective potential for growth, this meeting serves as a unique platform to foster collaboration, share experiences, and ignite discussions that will shape the future of bioimaging in our region.

OBJECTIVES

  • Facilitate meaningful interactions among imaging scientists to establish professional connections.

  • Provide a platform for researchers and professionals to share their experiences, challenges, and successes in the field of imaging science.

  • Foster a collaborative learning environment through discussions on best practices, innovative approaches and new technologies.

  • Promote opportunities for international collaboration by encouraging dialogue between Latin American imaging scientists and their global counterparts.

  • Identify common research interests and potential joint projects to enhance global cooperation in the field.

  • Discuss collaborative strategies to enhance the career development and systematic promotion of imaging scientists in Latin America.

TARGET AUDIENCE

We aim to gather graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, early-career professionals established group leaders and academic researchers involved in cutting-edge research in imaging technologies and applications and interested in building a strong foundation in imaging science in Argentina and the LAC region. Professionals working in industries such as healthcare, biotechnology, manufacturing, information technology and medical imaging specialists are likewise welcome. We encourage the participation of multidisciplinary teams including scientists, engineers, and professionals from diverse fields collaborating on imaging-related projects. Likewise, we welcome stakeholders in the region such as non-governmental and governmental agencies interested in international network development on science and innovation.

WHY ATTEND?

This meeting aims to be more than a conference—it's a nexus for networking and connection. By bringing together imaging scientists from diverse backgrounds and career stages, we aim to create an environment conducive to forging lasting professional relationships. In a world where collaboration fuels progress, we strive to catalyze partnerships, explore potential collaboration and initiate joint projects. In addition, this meeting provides a stage for sharing experiences, fostering a spirit of collective learning and resilience. Likewise, discussions on best practices and innovative approaches will be at the heart of our gathering. By fostering dialogue between Latin American imaging scientists and their European counterparts, we seek to open avenues for international collaboration, enriching the global discourse on imaging science. Last but not least; this meeting is looking forward to promoting a platform for enhancing the careers of imaging scientists in Latin America. Join us in discussions on collaborative strategies to systematically promote career development, creating a pathway for sustained success.
